We are Communal Merchants.  A passionate bunch looking for quality wines and ciders from around the globe.  We currently represent 21 producers from Italy, France, Estonia, Spain and the US.  We are a small family run team that enjoys traditional and unconventional wines and ciders, and we'd like to share with you.  

We began our journey by focusing on a market that was underrepresented in Ontario, Ciders... We presently have one of the largest selection of fine ciders in the Ontario market.  Our selection of ciders ranges from the ultra traditional Spanish Asturian style Sidra to the fun spirited and forward thinking Los Angeles based cider house, 101 Ciders.  We can't mention cider without naming one of our favourite cider makers. Domaine Dupont has been making fine champagne style ciders for 4 generations and continues to evolve.  If it's Brittany or Normandy ciders you're looking for, we have options for you.  

Our focus organically grew into our original love, wine.  Here we passionately search for wineries that are small, family run, natural, biodinamic with little to no intervention.  Once we decided to shift or expand our operations into the wine world we saw incredible opportunity to connect with growers who mirror our small, progressively evolving, enthusiastic team. Partnering with producers that focus on quality, ingenuity with often times limited allocations.
